![]() ![]() I loved how Paolini incorporated humor and witty banter into this story. The crew is the perfect rag-tag group of lovable rebels. ![]() Reading this, I became so attached to Kira and the other characters as well. There is so much that happens from the first time Kira comes in contact with the alien suit to the stunning conclusion. In fact, it is hard to give brief plot points that would sum up the entirety of this novel's scope. ![]() It is so well done here, you can definitely tell that Paolini is a SciFi fan himself. ![]() It's actually one of my favorite subgenres within Science Fiction. If I am remembering the Author's Note correctly, he worked on this project for 9-years and it shows. This novel is quite the accomplishment for Paolini. However, after having time to reflect on it as a whole, this is absolutely a 5-star book for me. Upon finishing To Sleep in a Sea of Stars, I leaned toward rating it 4.5-stars and not rounding up.Īdmittedly, there were certain aspects I didn't love some areas where I felt the story dragged a bit. ![]()
